One can give easily remind able names to a cell or range of
cells. Name also can be given to a constant value or Formula.
Suppose you want to create a formula for calculating Dearness
allowance in payroll, in future the rate of DA may very so you
will need to put it at some known common location, change of
rate at this location will change the payroll values by taking
new rate for calculations.
Then formula for DA will look like =A2*DArate instead of
=A2*Sheet!$B17$ where Sheet!$B17$ is tedious to remnd then
DArate and one can read the formula with its desires. |
